while the microacupuncute aims to certain micro regions of the body,
such as ear, hand, foot, and scalp, so cane further classified as
auricular acupuncture, hand/foot acupuncture, and scalp acupuncture,
etc. According to the stimulation applied, acupuncture can be
categorized as manual acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and laser
acupuncture, etc. Different types of acupuncture, no matter what
location or stimulation applied, have corresponding indications and
applications. In addition, moxibustion, actually a kind of heating
therapy on acupoints pertains to acupuncture therapy. It also often
substituted by infrared rays or other heating therapies.
